-30%Benny Motzfeldt is Norway’s most renowned glass artist. Some might perhaps call her a glass designer – she did not do the actual glass blowing herself, but she did work closely with the glass blowers. When in the late 1960s she began working with glass more freely, she revolutionized the glass industry. Traditional methods were shelved to better reap the benefits of exploration and experimentation. Motzfeldt had many admirers, and one of the ardent of these was Queen Sonja of Norway. Motzfeldt had a rich life and career. As a designer, she worked for the glassworks in Hadeland and Randsfjord. Motzfeldt had the most success at the small glasswork studio at PLUS in Fredrikstad.
Our publications are bilingual, with all text in both Norwegian and English.
