In the 1950s, Bjørn Engø was one of Norway’s most prominent industrial designers. He was progressive and had an international mindset. Engø later changed course and began working as a designer craftsman. Given the brevity of the period he worked as a designer, the clarity of focus in his work is impressive. A consistent artistic trajectory can be traced throughout his entire career.
